How cow as an animal is beneficial to the society?

Cows or cattle are the most useful domestic animals. They benefit the humans and the environment in many ways that we fail to recognize or appreciate. They are raised as dairy animals for milk and other dairy products and as draft animals. Cow dung is also used as fuel all over the country. Cattle in India has significant religious connotation as well.
Cow, in India, provides us with the entire requirement for our farming activities in Agriculture. It helps us in transportation of our goods, works in our agricultural lands. It gives us the medicine; it saves the crop from pest, insect and fungi. In many rural areas, cow is also kept as pet providing with benefits.

Cow milk is like nectar, because it has amino acids which make its protein easily digestible. It is good for kidney. It is a rich source of Vitamins like B2, B3 and A which help increasing immunity. Cow Milk helps in reducing acidity and chances of peptic ulcer. It also helps in reducing chances of colon, breast and skin cancer. Cow milk also prevents the formation of serum cholesterol. It is one of the best natural anti-oxidants.

The importance of cows in the society has led to its exploitation and slaughter for meat. This gave birth to the Cow Protection Movement in 1882. Swami Dayananda Saraswati was the one to lead the movement and Arya Samaj spread its awareness. Cow urine is a divine medicine and is used for treatment of diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, psoriasis, eczema, heart attack, blockage in arteries, fits, cancer, AIDS, piles, prostrate, arthritis, migraine, thyroid, ulcer, acidity, constipation, gynaecological problems it is also used as bio-enhancer, increase the nitrogen content of the soil, for better rearing of honey bees, hasten the pubertal age of the heifers exposed to bull’s urine and as pesticide and larvicide for the fodder crops. Cow urine contains all substances, which are naturally present in the human body. Thus, consumption of cow urine maintains the balance of these substances and this helps cure incurable diseases. It is natural, eco-friendly with no residual effects, economical and easily available, hence can be harnessed as potential therapeutic agent.

To provide healthy dairy products of international quality at a minimum price to every householdTo develop wide milk collection network to process minimum 10, 00,000 liters of milk per day, whereby generating livelihood to more than 50,000 people.
To set-up more number of milk chilling centers to help the farmers to sell milk every day. This way not only they will be economically benefited but also we will be able to deliver a large amount of fresh milk to the consumers.
To constantly upgrade our plants with the latest dairy technology.
To educate farmers on animal husbandry and create awareness amongst them about the usage of appropriate cattle feed, including silage and TMR (Total Mixed Ration), accepted by all the developed countries of the world, while supplying the same.
To conduct health check-ups of the cattle at regular intervals by our selected veterinarians and upgrade their breeds to get more quantity of A1 milk.
To tie up with various financial institutions for financing the farmers for the overall development of the livestock.

A voice to declare cow as a national animal and to make a complete ban on the use of chemical pesticides in crops by farmers and to make use of organic insecticide / organic manure made from cow-dung / cow-urine.

In today’s environment, harmful pesticides are being used in large quantities by the farmers of our country, due to which the physical immunity of all the organisms in the country is decreasing, as a result of various serious cancer-like diseases in the country. A large section of it is getting affected.
Therefore, it is a humble request to you that it is very important to give the necessary guidelines to the State Governments on the following points.

1- The use / production of chemical pesticides used in crops by farmers should be completely banned.
2- Organic insecticide produced by cow-dung / cow-urine, should be used.
3- It is mandatory to make organic pesticides and organic fertilizers from cow-dung / cow-urine in cow sheds so that it can be easily available to the farmers.
4- Gaumata should be declared a national animal.
5-Gausavardhan Kendras should be established at the block level and cow science should be included in the education policy.
